Aix-en-Provence is another Provençale destination.

A picturesque, 20-minute bus ride from Marseille, this affluent and ancient city is the birthplace of several legendary French painters and the new home of Toinou Restaurant, the oldest Marseille fish market. Aix-en-Provence, the nemesis of Marseille is stately and sophisticated, tucked in between the rolling hills of the Provence countryside, a welcomed contrast to the first city of France.
